The Commission submitted a plea today through its legal staff to the so-called "Israeli Supreme Court" to appeal the decision of administrative detention order issued against the stiker detainee Kayed Fasfous, from Dura/Hebron, who suffers from critical health condition.

This policy led to the deterioration of their health conditions.
The commission documented, through its advocates, the most prominent sick cases in Ashkelon prison. A case in point is the 49-year-old detainee Nasser Abu Hmaid, whose health condition deteriorated remarkably. He recently had a surgery, in which 10 cm of his left lung has been removed, and it was found that it is a cancer and he needs urgent medical intervention.
Another case in point is the detainee Yaser Rabay'a from Ezarya. He is sentenced to life imprisonment and he suffers from cancer in the colon. He had a surgery in the liver and 8 sessions of chemotherapy at Barzulai Hospital.

However, the clinic of the prison is procrastinating in setting up an appointment.

The occupation authorities have frozen the administrative detention order, but the freezing does not mean cancelling the order. It actually means that the administration of prisons and the Intelligence device are not responsible of his life, and turning him to unofficial prisoner held at the hospital, under the guardianship of the hospital's security instead of the jailors.
