The Commission of Detainees' Affairs stated that there are (12) Palestinian mothers are currently held at Damoun and Hasharon prisons, suffering from the cruelty of jailor and deprivation of children in the occasion of Mother's Day, in which people all over the world are celebrating.

The detained mothers are: Israa Jaabis, Fadwa Hamada, Amani Hasheem, Hilweh Hamamreh, Nisreen Hassan, Inas Asafreh, Aya Khateeb, Iman Awar, Khitam Saafin, Shurouq Badan, Khalida Jarrar and Anhar Deek.

The commission stated that their children are missing them especially on this day, where the detained mothers are deprived of visits under feeble pretexts, and in light of the procedures of Coronavirus which stopped the visits.

The commission also said that women detainees suffer from all kinds of stress and arbitrary measures by jailors such as: medical negligence, incursions to their rooms and imposing punishments against them. They live in hard detention conditions.

It is pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities have arrested more than 17.000 Palestinian Women since 1967, where the commission highlighted the national role of the Palestinian women in holding the responsibility of confronting the occupation.

The commission called the international community to release the Palestinian women and mothers, and provide support to protect them and their children.
