The Commission of Detainees’ Affairs warns of the risks resulting from ignoring the treatment of minor detainee Wasim Nassar

The Commission of Detainees’ Affairs warned of ignoring the health condition of wounded minor detainee Wasim Nassar, 16, from Hebron, who is currently held in section “13” in Ofer prison.
The advocate of the commission was able to visit him and check on his health condition, as he was shot in his right leg during arrest and transferred to Soroka Hospital, and had a surgery. Then he got transferred to Ofer prison.
The advocate stated that he had implants of platinum in his leg to fix the fragmentation, and he still suffers severe pain and does not receive any medication.
The Commission stressed on the necessity for medical and human rights organizations to practice pressure in order to provide detainee Nassar with the appropriate medical care, not leaving him to the hatred of jailers.
