The Commission of Detainees’ Affairs stated that the IPS is deliberately violating detainees’ rights, especially sick ones and intended to ignore their critical health conditions, abstaining from providing the appropriate medication, which led to the deterioration of theirs health conditions. The Commission emphasized that health conditions of sick detainees is very critical, as they live in new circumstances since October 7, and were exposed to intense beat, torture and deprivation of medicine and treatment. The commission said there should be an urgent intervention to give detainees their rights and provide them with the appropriate medical care on a regular basis. The commission warns of the failure of international community towards detainees, especially sick ones, and it is time to force Israel be obliged to international laws and norms. It is worth mentioning that the Israeli authorities are holding more than 800 sick detainees, including 300 who have chronic diseases and 30 cancer cases.
