Frequent attacks against detainees at Ofer prison

 

 🔺Special Forces intended to abuse two detainees by putting their heads in the toilet Based on several testimonies of detainees at Ofer Prison, many attacks have been reported against detainees, where two of them have been subjected to unprecedented humiliation and abuse by putting their heads in the toilet after a confrontation with jailers. Detainees pointed out that the “counting” or the so-called “security check”, was turned into a tool of humiliation and torture against detainees, as after October 7 detainees are asked to take a position that resembles kneeling, confirming that the majority of detainees have been attacked severely during this operation, and that jailers intend to provoke and take revenge from detainees.  

🔺Regarding the children’s detention conditions in Ofer prison, (90) children are facing the same situation experienced by adult detainees, where the policy of starvation constitutes the most extreme act practiced against them. They are provided with poor quality and quantity of food, as they have thin slices of bread on breakfast that should be enough for 5 detainees. 

 

 🔺 Many detainees at Megiddo prison could not change their clothes since arrest A group of detainees confirmed that the most prominent issue they are facing in Megiddo prison is the lack of clothing, as many detainees could not be able to change their clothes since tge first day of detention, and they don’t have jackets in spite of the cold weather. They also confirmed on the policy of starvation practiced against them, which increased with the high number of arrests and new detainees.
