Medical crimes against injured detainees in the clinic of Alramla prison

 December 10, 2023

The Commission of Detainees’ Affairs stated that sick detainees, including injured detainees in the clinic of Alramla prison are subjected to systematic medical crimes by the Israeli authorities and the IPS.

The commission emphasized that there are a lot of breaches recorded every day in Israeli prisons, bearing in mind that all cases are classified as critical and need intensive medical care.

The commission pointed out that the majority of cases in the clinic of Alramla prison were subjected to shot and direct attack, such as detainee Mustafa Naanish, 21, from Tulkarem refugee camp, where he was arrested from the hospital of Tulkarem, after being injured by an explosion. He was transferred to a civil hospital amd had a surgical operation in the abdomen. He also has fragments in the back and his health condition is unknown yet.

Regarding the detainee Tareq Abu Alrub, 22, from Jenin, he was shot with live ammunition which caused rapture in the intestines. He had a surgical operation to repair the intestines, and he is still held in the clinic of Alramla prison.

The commission stated that all detainees confirmed that they did not receive the appropriate medical care and have not conducted any checks, where the Israeli authorities and the IPS tended to procrastinate in their treatment to increase their pain and suffering.
