The Israeli authorities issued (1034) administrative detention orders on October 2023
 November 1, 2023

The Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Society Prisoner’s Club reported in a statement issued today, that the Israeli authorities have issued (1034) administrative detention orders during October 2023, including (904) new orders and (130) renewals.

The Commission and the Prisoner’s Club stated that (872) administrative detention orders have been issued since the 7th of October.

According to latest information, (2070) administrative detainees are currently held in Israeli prisons, under the pretext of the existence of a “confidential file” , including women and children.

The majority of administrative detainees are former detainees who served long years in Israeli prisons. These rising figures of administrative detainees constitute the highest rate since more than 20 years.

It is worthy to mention that the administrative detention policy is considered the most prominent crime pursued by the Israeli occupation forces, in the light of the mass retaliatory operations against our people to undermine any struggle.
