Detainees’ Institutions: the Israeli forces arrested (1680) Palestinians since the 7th of October

 * 80% of them have been sentenced to administrative detention

 Ramallah
 October 30, 2023

The Israeli forces continued the arrest campaigns in the West Bank after the 7th of October, where (1680) arrest cases have been recorded, including (85) citizens who were arrested last night. Arrest cases were focused in Hebron, afflicting (500) citizens, followed by Jerusalem.
Two detainees were martyred after being arrested in the light of the campaign mounted in the 7th of October.

Arrest campaigns afflicted children, women, elderly and former detainees who got arrested from their houses and military checkpoints as hostages to force some of the family members to surrender themselves.

Detainees’ Institutions pointed out that these statistics do not only reflect figures, but also the extent of crimes and violations committed against detainees.

The Israeli occupation forces implemented collective retaliatory operations, using all available weapons and measures , to torture detainees and their families through attacking them by intensive beat, torture, threats of murder, destruction of property and house demolitions.

These attacks and systematic crimes led to the injury of many detainees and their families, while the occupation forces intend to leave wounded persons without medical treatment.

Detainees’ institutions stated that 80% of the detainees are sentenced to administrative detention, where the Israeli occupation authorities issued more than (620) orders of administrative detention since the 7th of October.
