The Commission of Detainees' Affairs published the details of torture practiced during arrest and detention against the child Adam Aboud Ghaith, 14, from Jerusalem.

The advocate of the Commission,  Hiba Ighbarya, stated that Israeli officers broke into his house in 24/5/2023. They entered his room and woke him up, and then took him to the police station and arrested him. They handcuffed him and transferred him to Almaskoubya interrogation center.

Adam said "they blindfolded and handcuffed me and then forced me to kneel for an hour. My knee could not bear the pain because I had an injury due to car accident. The joint of my left leg was broken and I had platinum. When I suffered from severe pain I called someone and asked him to help me to stand up, but he grabbed me from the neck, took me to another room and hit my head to the wall and beat me harshly.
He took me to the interrogation room and kept me 4 hours under interrogation, but I didn't confess. Then 3 persons entered the room and started to beat me and threatened me that they will use the taser if I don't confess guilt ".

The detainee has been transferred to court , and then to Almaskoubya prison for 23 days, where he got interrogated 11 times,  and then he was transferred to Damoun prison.

It is worthy to mention that he was not sentenced yet, and his session will be held in 13/9/2023.  His brother also is held at the same prison.
