The Commission of Detainees' Affairs published in a report issued today the details of the arbitrary administrative detention and difficult health condition of the detainee Majd Amarneh and his two sons Mujahed and Ahmad who are currently held at Naqab prison, where these details have been revealed after a visit to the prison by the advocate of the commission Fadi Obaidat.

The Commission stated that the detainee Majd Amarneh "Ezz-Aldeen" has gone through a hunger strike for 12 days in 23/4/2023- 4/5/2023, and he ended his strike in exchange for determining the period of his administrative detention and provide medical treatment for his son Mujahed.

The other son "Ahmad" has been sentenced to administrative detention under the pretext of the presence of a confidential file, where the sentence is extended to three times every four months, and the current extension ends by 15/8/2023.

The detainee Mujahed, 21, who is sentenced to two years, suffers from spasms in the face, legs and hands in addition to swilling in his lips as a result of giving him four anesthetic needles when he went to the dental clinic.

He went back to the dental clinic but the administration of prisons breached the agreement with his father, concerning ending the strike and no treatment was given to him, where his health condition is rapidly deteriorating.

The advocate of the commission stated that the detainee Majd Amarne is blind and has hypertension and problems in the stomach and colon. He was sentenced to administrative detention, which was extended three times for six months, where the current extension ends by 18/6/2023.

Recently, the Israeli Supreme Court gave the approval on extending his sentence for additional four months.
