- Detainees in Shatta prison live in a complicated situation and serious health conditions, where they are treated with vindictive measures, and subjected to constant beat, humiliation, starvation and deprivation of medical care and medicine
- (101) leader detainees are held in Shatta prison, including (30) detainees sentenced to life imprisonment
- many of them had fractures in the back, chest and fingers, beaten on their private parts in a brutal manner. Besides, they are exposed to curses and insults in order to affect their moralities.
- there are many detainees who suffer from mental disorders, left without painkillers or medications, where they make spontaneous behaviors, misused by jailers to break into detainees’ rooms and attack them
- the commission condemns the international inaction related to what happens in Israeli prisons and detention centers, which motivated the Israeli occupation and the IPS to humiliate and abuse detainees.
