The Commission of Detainees' Affairs: we call for the formation of a human rights committee to reconsider the policy of administrative detention
The Commission called upon the international community to stop the crime of administrative detention, practiced by the Israeli occupation, which violates all international rules and laws.
The Commission stated that we need an actual response to form an international human rights committee to investigate the situation in Israeli prisons and witness the suffering of administrative detainees, who are held without charge or trial.
The Commission pointed out that using the inhumane and unethical violations within this policy contradicts the principles of international law, and also contradicts those who claim democracy all over the world, especially in America and Europe.
The Commission confirmed that the administrative detention threatens all categories of the Palestinian society, where hundreds are suffering due to publishing their opinions on social media.
The Commission indicated that we are going through a real battle that will be led by administrative detainees to stop the policy of administrative detention. Escalation steps were launched in different prisons since two weeks, where 13 detainees are on hunger strike.
