Detainees of Megiddo prison suffer from lack in clothes and blankets
The Commission of Detainees' Affairs called on human rights organizations and legal institutions, especially the International Committee of the Red Cross, to force the administration of Megiddo prison to accept the detainees' demands on having clothes and blankets and other daily needs.
The Commission revealed that prisons' administration exploits the coronavirus pandemic to suppress detainees by making their lives more difficult through depriving them of obtaining their necessary stuff which was done by family visits. However, family visits were suspended by the occupation authorities under the pretext of health situations.
The commission stated that the Red Cross shall fulfill its commitments and intervene immediately to allow detainees obtaining their stuff such as clothes and blankets, especially in the light of the current political and medical conditions, which coincides with the fierce attack against the Palestinian people in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the occupied lands of 48.
