The Tunisian Quartet supports the nomination of the leader Marwan Barghouthi for Nobel Peace Prize

The Tunisian solidarity festival, which was held in the Tunisian Cultural Center on Monday 4/4/2016, has declared the support of the Tunisian Quartet of national dialogue for the nomination of the leader Marwan Barghouthi for Nobel Peace Prize. This came as being loyal to the detainees, honoring them and highlighting their cause as a way of national liberation and legitimate struggle against the occupation. Considering that just and real peace will not be attained without setting free all the detainees who sacrificed their lives for freedom and peace.

This came in solidarity festival organized by the Palestinian Embassy in Tunisia, in cooperation with Tunisian institutions, and in coordination with the Commission of detainees and ex-detainees affairs and the Palestinian prisoners’ society. Where Hayel Fahoom, the Palestinian ambassador in Tunisia, Issa Qaraqe’ the head of the commission of detainees, and Fadwa Barghouthi the wife of the leader Marwan Barghouthi, have participated in the festival with the Tunisian political parties and institutions of civil society.

During the festival, Abdlsatar Bin Mousa the head of the Tunisian Human Rights League, has presented the Nobel Peace Prize of the Tunisian Quartet in 2015 to the wife if the leader Marwan Barghouthi. Moreover, he declared their support of the nomination of Marwan for the Nobel Peace prize.

The festival included invitations of solidarity with the Palestinian detainees at all levels, and protecting the rights of Palestinian people from the continuous Israeli crimes.
