Al Qiq iin a hunger strike since 83 days

He was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces in November 21 2015 and transferred to Al Jalama detention center which is known of its harsh interrogation. He started a hunger strike after four days of his detention protesting against his administrative detention for six months in Jalbu’ prison. He refused to eat anything whether be vitamins, supplements, or water. In addition to that, he refrains from conducting medical examinations.

After the deterioration of his health he was transferred to Al Afulah hospital where he was handcuffed under tough guard. In February 2 2016, the 72nd of his hunger strike, the Israeli high court of justice decided to freeze the administrative detention and to keep him for medical treatment at Israeli hospitals, but Al Qiq refused.

In February 2 2016, after 75 days of the strike, the Israeli military prosecution asked him to stop the hunger strike for being released on 1/5/2016 but he also refused and asked to be released immediately.

During the last week until 14/2/16, his health condition has deteriorated and he has severe pains in the chest and articulates which make him unable to sleep and contacting others. Moreover, the sense of hearing has damaged and he has many symptoms of stroke.

In 14/2/2016 the lawyers of the commission of detainees asked the Israeli prosecution to transfer Muhammad to Palestinian hospitals, but the request was refused

Muhammad refused to stop his hunger strike unless he is released and transferred to Palestinian hospitals in order to complete the medical treatment.
